Jiyeon will be developing her career under the management of the new company.
On May 15, Chinese entertainment management agency Longzhen Cultural Development made a statement to announce that T-ara member Jiyeon decided to ink its artist contract in April.
In a press release, it stated: “The contract with Jiyeon was signed last month. Longzhen will be in charge of managing Jiyeon’s activities in various fields including music, drama, movies, performances, TV shows and commercials.”
Earlier on, another T-ara member Hyomin reportedly made up her mind to join South Korea’s Sublime Artist Agency.
An official from Hyomin’s new agency made an announcement to inform her upcoming comeback, saying: “She is planning a solo album to be released within the first half of this year. She will resume her career on the local and Chinese stages as a solo singer is very grateful about her fans’ waiting, and is eager to meet their expectations. She will soon deliver surprising news.”
T-ara made its debut in 2009 under the management of MBK Entertainment. However, all group members left the agency after their contracts expired in December 2017. Hyomin and Jiyeon are the only two members who have been confirmed to contract with their respective new companies.
