Seo Kang Joon & Esom To Draw 12-Year Romance In “The Third Charm”

Just how much more adorable do we get to see Seo Kang Joon and Esom in The Third Charm? Because hey, the first released stills really made us smile!

Fresh from playing K-drama fans’ favorite robot this year, Seo Kang Joon donned an “adorkable” look complete with specs and long sleeve shirt for his upcoming jTBC drama, The Third Charm.

Playing the lead girl is the equally charming Esom, who cut her long tresses, brightly smiling in casual hoodie attire. We last saw her as the feisty friend of Jung So Min in last year’s endearing rom-com Because This Is My First Life.

The two actors are up to continue the lucky romance streak of jTBC on its Friday-Saturday slot after Something in the Rain and My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

The Third Charm takes the story of a man and a woman, who discover love passing through memories and events they will create through the four seasons of twelve years they spend being together.

Seo Kang Joon deviates from his last dreamy handsome look to Big-Bang-Theory-nerdy-but-still-handsome face to portray On Joon Young. His uptight personality is set to loosen up, because of Lee Young Jae (Esom) – a student who works as a beauty assistant and dreams of becoming a famous hairdresser. Their opposing personalities will draw an engaging love story for all audiences to set the romantic mood of autumn.

The romance that begins from a group blind date and will span 12 years is written by Park Eun Young (Romance Full of Life, Hwarang). Director Pyo Min Soo, who helmed K-drama favorites Full House, What Star Did You Come From, The World That They Live In, You’ve Fallen For Me and Producer, will be handling this project as well, so we can expect delightful romantic comedy in the coming horizon.

The Third Charm takes the spot of My ID is Gangnam Beauty sometime in September.
