TVXQ Confirmed As Hosts For Upcoming Season Of Mnet’s “Kingdom” And iKON Joins Its Lineup
Mnet’s Kingdom preparations are in full-swing as TVXQ’s Changmin and U-Know confirm their MC roles and iKON joins its lineup!
Mnet’s follow-up series to Road to Kingdom, titled Kingdom, gears up for their premiere later this year. To the excitement of fans, TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin confirm their roles as the series MCs.
Kingdom is the male version of Mnet’s reality show, Queendom. The program features various male idol groups performing a series of survival stages, in competition to win “a throne”. The series sets out to display the performance skills of various K-Pop groups through a suspenseful format.
Along with the announcement of TVXQ’s U-Know and Changmin participating as MCs, the network unveiled its newest performer. YG Entertainment’s K-Pop group, iKON will also appear in the new series.
The group iKON will also join ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and THE BOYZ during the competition, the first line-up revealed to fans since the series’ filming announcement.
The three groups revealed the news through a grand collaboration stage at the 2020 MAMA. ATEEZ’s San, Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, and THE BOYZ’s Juyeon captivated fans in their battle-inspired “Triangular Flight” stage.
According to Mnet, Kingdom has a tentative air date scheduled for April.
