Jason Derulo Praises EXO’s Lay Zhang And NCT 127 For Their Talent

American singer-songwriter Jason Derulo showered EXO’s Lay Zhang and NCT 127 with good words in his interview with The Associated Press published on Billboard.

The singer-songwriter, known for the hits “Get Ugly”, “Talk Dirty”, and “Marry Me”, among others, said he was excited to work with the EXO member and NCT’s Seoul-based sub-unit for “Let’s Shut Up and Dance”. “We come from totally different worlds, but I really, really love their talent,” he added.

The collaboration, the first of the four-part tribute project for Michael Jackson, was first announced last year. In February this year, the fruit of team-up was finally unveiled. Since then, the music video for “Let’s Shut Up and Dance” has raked more than 18 million views.

The MV showed off well-crafted choreography and polished dance moves performed on the streets. Netizens showed positive responses on the high-quality performance displayed by Lay Zhang, NCT 127, and Jason Derulo.

“Let’s Shut Up and Dance” kicks off the Global Michael Jackson tribute project in celebration of the King of Pop’s 60th birthday. It is part of The Greatest Dancer EP set to drop on June 25 — in time for the late singer’s 10th death anniversary.

Jason Derulo also responded to the molestation accusations of Michael Jackson on HBO’s documentary Leaving Neverland. According to him, he is keeping the late artist he remembers separate from anything that may have happened privately. He also admitted having not watched the documentary at the time of the interview.
