“Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” Unveils Lead Cast + New Time Setting

The well-loved Korean fantasy series is all set to begin production for its airing date next year!

Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, as suggested by the title, takes the Lee brothers and new cast members to the year 1938.

Reprising their roles are popular actors Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum as Lee Yeon and Lee Rang respectively.

Joining them in the lead cast are Kim So Yeon and Ryu Kyung Soo.

This time, Lee Yeon is set to embark on an adventure in an era of chaos in 1938, thus providing a different feel from the first season.

Still, the second season incorporates the trademark plot which exquisitely weaves Korean folklore featuring indigenous deities, native ghosts and fairy tale characters.

Also returning as the creative team members are Director Kang Shin Hyo and writer Han Woo Ri.

In Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938, Lee Yeon is summoned back to the past and is caught up in an unexpected situation.

What awaits Lee Yeon in 1938 and how he will struggle to return to modern times will be unveiled dynamically.

Lee Dong Wook who unleashed an iconic character oozing with charisma makes a new page for his role as Lee Yeon.
