DAY6 Takes Over Local Music Charts With Newest Track “You Make Me”

Impressing spectators with swoon-worthy releases each comeback, DAY6 swiftly owned the charts with its latest track “You Make Me!”

Charming pop band DAY6 keeps on achieving greater heights by bagging an amazing feat with with their first comeback in 2021.

Just recently, the talented band made their return with their seventh EP The Book of Us: Negentropy, along with its lead single “You Make Me.” The song features Jae, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon’s mesmerizing talents and heavenly vocals.

Unveiled on April 18, DAY6 immediately scored the No. 1 spot on Bugs’ real-time chart. Moreover, the track also conquered other music charts such as Genie Music and Vibe on April 20.

Signaling another comeback that is one for the books, the lovely band was also able to reach the top spot on Hanteo’s Real-time Album Chart with The Book of Us: Negentropy

Further proving their musical prowess, DAY6’s newest album also reigned over iTunes Album Charts in less than a day after its release. Specifically, The Book of Us: Negentropy dominated the said charts in 7 countries including Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey.

Along with these, hashtags like “You_make_Me_DAY6” and “Day6_Negen_I’ll give you a trophy” were also able to reach Twitter’s trending list during the day of DAY6’s comeback. Through these warm greetings, DAY6 was able to achieve great accolades and receive a lot of praises.

A COMEBACK YOU SHOULD NOT MISS

Going for a dream theme this time, DAY6 captured the ears and hearts of many through its new album The Book of Us: Negentropy.

Serving as the last stretch of the “Book of Us” series, the album revolves around the concept of love and how it becomes the source of energy that allows us to cope with our daily struggles in life. It also delivers the message that all of us could become one through love.

Exhibiting a change in their image, the title track “You Make Me” talks about how love allows us to become strong and hold on despite these hard times. It delivers hope and comfort to fans by incorporating lyrics that truly touches the heart.

Composed and written by members Young K and Wonpil, the song also contains a fresh and intoxicating beat, making it a a no-skip song for everyone.

DAY6 debuted in 2015 under JYP Entertainment. Their first EP The Day gained favorable response from many casual listeners and entered Billboard’s World Album Chart a week after its release.

All members have been actively participating in writing, composing and producing all of their releases. Some of them have also been involved in solo endeavors like Jae and Young K.
