f(x)’s Amber Officially Bids Farewell To SM Entertainment
Fans are surely wishing nothing but the best for Amber’s future endeavors!
After more than a decade of being an artist under SM Entertainment, Amber Liu of K-Pop girl group f(x) has officially parted ways with her long-time management.

In the morning of September 1, the idol surprised everyone with the sudden announcement that she made through her official Instagram account. Informing fans regarding the end of her exclusive contract with her agency, Amber posted a photo containing her message to her loving supporters.

“Hey everyone, I would like to announce my contract with SM Entertainment has ended today, and I have decided to part ways with the company,” she began.
“From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank everyone who believed in me and have been patient with me all these years. I can’t wait to show you what’s in store in this next chapter of my career. Again and always, thank you!! Love, peace, and Boba –Llama,” the beautiful and talented idol added.
Ten years ago, Amber made her debut under the banner of f(x). Together with members Krystal, Sulli, Victoria, and Luna, their group was able to release a number of hit songs such as “Electric Shock”, “LA chA TA”, “Hot Summer”, and “First Love”.
After being inactive for more than three years now since Sulli’s departure from the group, f(x) has recently surprised fans with a much-awaited reunion. Though incomplete, members Amber, Luna, and Krystal treated their loving supporters as they graced the SM Town Live 2019 in Tokyo Dome last August 3.
