Red Velvet’s Wendy Becomes The New Radio Host For SBS Radio Power FM “Youngstreet”
Red Velvet’s main vocalist Wendy will surely conquer another venture as she lands an amazing opportunity as the newest SBS radio host!
Wendy of charming girl group Red Velvet proves that she is indeed unstoppable by accepting the role as a host in one of SBS’ Radio Power FM amazing radio shows.
Titled Youngstreet, the program focuses on Korean and K-Pop culture in general. Led by director Yoo Chul Min and writers Kim Su Yeon, Choi Eun Chae and Lee Chae Won, the radio show stands by its tradition of having singers from popular idol groups as well as other Korean celebrities as its main hosts.
Notably, the previous host for the show is none other than MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, who left the program to focus on his acting career. Famous actress Jung So Min also led the program for quite some time. Some of the idols who took on the role as guest hosts are NU’EST’s Baekho, Dreamcatcher’s Sua and Girl’s Day’s Yura.
“Wendy will immediately captivate listeners with the positive energy she has shown in various entertainment shows and solo album activities and the charm of a concept fairy who adapts perfectly to anywhere,” the production team of SBS Radio Power FM said.
Prior to her inception, Wendy was the Special DJ for the same back in May 2018. She was able to captivate a lot of fans and casual listeners due to her wit and vocals.
Expressing her excitement, the stunning idol stated, “I’ve been dreaming of becoming a radio DJ for a long time. I want to fill my daily life at 8 PM with my own positive and pleasant energy.”
Wendy will appear on the show every day from 8 PM KST to 10 PM KST. She will be listening to guests’ concerns and read various stories from readers from time to time.
Meanwhile, Red Velvet will make its highly-awaited return in the K-Pop scene in August.
