DAY6 Members Wonpil And Young K To Appear On KBS’ “Hometown Report”

Wonpil is getting his wish come true as he and Young K represent DAY6 in KBS’ “Hometown Report”!

DAY6 members Young K and Wonpil will be appearing on two episodes of KBS’ Hometown Report this December!


The two singers will be experiencing the village life through the KBS variety program loved by people of all ages – as a grant of Wonpil’s wish aired on national TV previously!

During his guesting in The King Of Masked Singer, Wonpil mentioned that it has a program he wants to appear in the most is KBS’ Hometown Report, and it has been a long-time dream of his. His heartfelt mention of his family enjoying the program so much led them to respond to his love.

“DAY6 had shown their love for our program in other channels, so I thought, “It’s the right time to grab this chance”. There is almost no one who doesn’t know this show because it is for all ages. It is always nice to plan this special collaboration with young celebrities,” the show’s PD shared.

“Wonpil and Young K showed a lot of hard work singing, dancing, and talking naturally with the elderly in the country,” he added. No idols have ever guested in the hit primetime program yet, making the two grab a first in the show’s history.


Known for giving comfort to the people who have left their hometown to live in the cities, the program allows guests to have pride in their hometown and experience different cultures as well. It also helps the livelihood in rural areas by providing information about farming, distribution, and more.

The episodes starring Wonpil and Young K is scheduled to air on December 4 and 11 at 6 PM KST. A teaser video had been released by KBS, and it previewed the two’s adventure in Jeongseon, Gangwon province.
