All Members Of NU’EST Decide To Stay Under Pledis Entertainment

NU’EST members are not going elsewhere!

All five members of NU’EST decided to renew their contracts with Pledis Entertainment, following their contracts’ expiration this year.

Pledis Entertainment confirmed that JR, Aron, Baekho, Ren, and Min Hyun have re-signed with them and promised to give the members full support in their future endeavors as artists.

“We have renewed the contract with the five members of NU’EST, who have been with us for a long time, based on mutual trust and faithfulness,” the entertainment company said in a statement.

It added, “We will provide full support in their group and individual activities in the future. We will do our best to make all these possible.”

JR also posted a handwritten letter on NU’EST’s fan cafe following the contract renewal.

In his letter, he broke the news to fans regarding the members’ decision to stay with Pledis Entertainment.

“We’ve decided to be with Pledis Entertainment’s CEO and family once again in order to show more growths and improvements of NU’EST,” he wrote. He also asked for fans’ continuous support.

JR also shared the boy group’s resolution to work harder and continue to trust and support one another.

Going Seven Years As NU’EST

JR, Aron, Baekho, Ren, and Min Hyun debuted as members of NU’EST in 2012, making them Pledis Entertainment’s first boy group.

Although they received attention for their debut with “Face”, the boy group was unable to sustain the momentum and was on a on-and-off hiatus.

In 2016, JR, Baekho, Ren, and Min Hyun joined the second season of Produce 101. During the show’s finale, only Min Hyun became part of the debuting lineup which became Wanna One.

While Min Hyun was promoting with Wanna One, the four members formed the sub-unit NU’EST W. As NU’EST W, the boys went on to win awards and secure first place on music shows.

Following the end of Wanna One’s contract, Min Hyun officially returned to his original group. A photo of the singer was uploaded on the boys’ Twitter account. Also, in his recent V Live broadcast, he introduced himself as a member of the boy group.

Moreover, the band opened its official Instagram on February 1. A photo of the members’ hands forming a star was posted.
