MONSTA X Confirms Preparations For Upcoming Comeback Album
Get ready Monbebes, MONSTA X is gearing up to slay with fantastic new tunes soon!
MONSTA X is gearing up to release a new album. The upcoming album comes after almost half a year after their mini album FANTASIA X which was released in May.
Adding to the excitement was member Minhyuk’s post on the fan cafe. The singer announced that the group is in the early stages of preparing the album. He also added the upcoming project is one that has had him excited since “DRAMARAMA”.
The group’s agency Starship Entertainment also said that MONSTA X will be making an autumn comeback. However, details including the release date remain unclear as of writing, although it is being anticipated that MONSTA X might drop new music somewhere around October or November.
MONSTA X’s previous album was FANTASIA X, which was released in May. The group took the world by storm with their fiery title track “FANTASIA”. The fierce number topped the Vibe Surge Chart, placed at No. 1 on the Hanteo Chart Album Chart, and also topped on Twitter Global Trends and on music broadcasts among others.
Since there were restrictions on the global activities including their world tour being postponed to next year due to COVID-19, MONSTA X held an on-tact concert MONSTA X LIVE: FROM SEOUL WITH LUV. The concert saw Monbebes from over 126 countries tuning in to watch the group’s show-stopping performances and to communicate with them.
Moreover, MONSTA X has garnered much praise for their versatility as musicians. While the group has impressed with their Korean and Japanese albums, MONSTA X also received tremendous love from listeners all around the world with their full English album All About Luv that was released earlier this year.
The album surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify recently. It also proved its popularity after topping multiple charts around the world during the time of its release. All About Luv had debuted at number 5 on the US Billboard 200 dated February 29, 2020. In addition, it also featured on Billboard’s 50 Best Albums of 2020 list as well.
The album also topped in multiple countries, namely Belarus, Brazil, Brunei, Chile, Finland, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Ukraine, and Vietnam on the worldwide iTunes chart as well as at the time of its release.
MONSTA X has also been active in various individual activities this year as well.
Recently, Shownu and Minhyuk released a soulful and sweet OST this week titled “HAVE A GOODNIGHT”. Minhyuk has been showcasing his charms as an emcee on various entertainment shows as well. Kihyun will also be seen participating in the drama OST Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol.
Jooheon expressed his musical genius on the track “JUMPER” from CRAVITY’s debut album. He also teased a possibility of an upcoming mix tape. The rapper-singer had given a sneak peek of a track titled “DIA” on Minhyuk’s VogueShip Show. I.M also left listeners grooving to his cool tunes as he stunned with his soft husky vocals in “Need To Know” with artist ELHAE.
