Doyeon from the charming girl group Weki Meki has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

On August 26, Fantagio Entertainment released an official statement on Weki Meki’s official fan cafe regarding Doyeon’s current health status and upcoming activities.

The agency shared, “On the evening of August 25, Weki Meki’s Kim Doyeon, a member of Weki Meki, conducted a rapid antigen test preemptively due to a sudden situation after completing her scheduled activity, and the test result was positive”

As a necessary health and safety measure, her fellow members preemptively took self-test kits, which all received negative results.

“Currently, Doyeon has no symptoms other than body aches and will focus on treatment and recovery according to the guidelines of the COVID-19 quarantine authorities. The schedule for resuming artist activities in the future will be announced again after confirming the release date of quarantine,” the agency added.

Meanwhile, the agency asked for the fans’ understanding and promised to continue doing its best to keep both its artists and staff members safe and healthy.
