Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Surprises Fans With Teaser For Her New Single “Happy”

Girls’ Generation Taeyeon is ready to gift new single on her birthday.

Girls’ Generation’s leader, Taeyeon, will delight fans with an energetic and endearing song this March. Taeyeon dropped a sweet treat for her fans by revealing a teaser image of her upcoming single “Happy” on March 3.

“Happy” will be releases on March 9 at 6 p.m. KST, which is also Taeyeon’s birthday. The music video will be available for viewing on  Taeyeon, SMTOWN, and NaverTV’s YouTube channels.

“Happy” is an R&B pop genre song, with a spin to an old school doo-wop. The song expresses the happiness and excitement of a person, when being and spending time with their loved one.

Previously, Taeyeon hinted her surprise single with a post on her Instagram account.

Taeyeon’s official website also changed their website layout with a teaser image of “Happy.” In the teaser image, Taeyeon looks blissful and is surrounded by flowers in the background.

In January, Taeyeon released repackaged version of her album “Purpose.” The repackaged version featured the title track “Dear Me” and two new songs. She also bagged three awards at the 29th Seoul Music Awards, which was held on January 30. She won digital daesang for her release, “Four Seasons,” making this her first daesang win since debuting as a soloist.

Taeyeon won OST Award, for Hotel del Luna‘s “A Poem Titled You” and bonsang alongside BTS, EXO, Super Junior, NU’EST, TWICE, Red Velvet, MONSTA X, MAMAMOO, Chungha, Paul Kim, and NCT DREAM.
