The boy group’s name will officially be put up on the upcoming Dubai Stars attraction, as revealed by their official Twitter account recently.

“We’ve seen the legendary @WeAreOneEXO take the music industry by storm, one act at a time. Today, with all your nominations we officially announce that we will be unveiling their #DubaiStar in @MyDowntownDubai this October!” the attraction’s official social media post’s caption said.

The Dubai Stars by EMAAR will kick off with 400 stars to be installed in October 2019. Visualized to be a global landmark, it will see over 10,000 stars upon its completion, according to their website.

The boy group has previously shown immense popularity in Dubai. The Burj Khalifa, known as the tallest building in the world, lit up with their faces.

Their hit “Power” was also the first song to be played for the Dubai Fountain Show back in January 2018. In fact, this honor was so huge that the group’s members even personally flew to Dubai to witness the fountain lights show for themselves!

Additionally, EXO-Ls loved the upbeat track being played on the fountain show so much that “Power” was played again later in 2018 due to popular demand.

Set up by Downtown Dubai’s developer EMAAR, The Dubai Stars is UAE’s very own version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is located in Seashore, Sirdhana at Mina Rashid. Along with the historical landmarks in the district are the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa and the world’s largest retail and entertainment destination, the Dubai Mall.
