Kim Hyun-joong has issued a statement of apology to his ex-girlfriend for his violence towards her.

Kim Hyun Joong wrote on his official homepage the following statement:

Hello. This is Kim Hyun Joong.

Through this incident, I have caused serious mental and physical injuries to a person that I have trusted and loved for two years, and I am deeply sorry for that.

I feel deeply embarrassed of myself for doing things a man should not do.

As this whole case is a consequence of my wrongdoing, that person has no reason to be criticized.

I apologize to her once again, and I want to express my apologies to her family and friends as well.

Above all, I hope she will accept my apology and forgive me.

I will learn from this incident by doing my best to live a more well-behaved and healthy life.

On September 12, Kim Hyun-joong’s ex-girlfriend requested Kim to apologize and admit that he had physically abused her during their relationship. This was Kim Hyun Joong’s answer to that request.

The ex-girlfriend’s lawyer has said that it was brave for Kim Hyun Joong as a celebrity to come forward and apologize in public and admit to his actions.

Charges were dropped against Kim Hyun Joong by his ex-girlfriend.

Her lawyer said: “From the beginning, if he [Kim Hyun Joong] apologized, ‘A’ was planning on dropping charges under no condition or receipt of settlement money.”

Chinese media have reported that YG Entertainment has been secretly training a new K-pop boy group over the last four years.

Reports emerged that UNIQ is a five-piece group with an average age of 19 and height of 180cm. Their name is derived from ‘unique’ and ‘unicorn’, a symbol of their pure spirit.

The group will include Chinese members Wong Yibo, Li Wenhan and Zhou Yixuan, and Korean members Jin Shengzhu (Kim Sungjoo) and Cao Chengyan.

Kim Sungjoo is known to be an ex-trainee of YG Entertainment. He is a close friend of WINNER’s Kang Seungyoon and Kim Jinwoo.

UNIQ are the product of four years of secret training at a ‘large entertainment agency in Korea,’ and will be promoting simultaneously in both China and Korea. They are speculated to make an appearance at YG Family’s concert in Beijing next month.

Notable artists signed to Yuehua Entertainment are Hangeng, former Super Junior member, and Zhou Bibi, who collaborated with Epik High earlier this year.
