“We The Fest 2019” Signals Another Spectacular Festival To Look Forward To With The Release Of “We The Fest 2018” Aftermovie

To usher in this year’s edition of the festival, We The Fest unveiled the WTF2018 Aftermovie.

The movie flaunted the energetic and vibrant atmosphere of Jakarta, Indonesia, the home of We The Fest. For the past five years, the festival and its concept have shown growth and development. Last year’s celebration boasted one of its most exhilarating show thus far.

Attesting to We The Fest 2018’s extravagance were the stage performances of world-renowned artists such as SZA, Odesza and Lorde. Albert Hammond Jr., What So Not and James Bay also gave out great stages. In addition to these international acts were the local talents.  Barasuara, Padi Reborn and Andien performed in front of the ardent festival attendees.

Performances aside, the aftermovie highlights other aspects which contributed to the festival’s one-of-a-kind appeal. It included the Cinema Club, Art Village, Skate Park, WTF Con and more.

About We The Fest

We The Fest is a yearly festival that celebrates music, arts, fashion and food. It has taken place in Jakarta, Indonesia since 2014. The gathering has showcased stage performances from international artists including Lorde, SZA, Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Big Sean and Odesza. Additionally, it also featured The 1975, G-Eazy, Mark Ronson, Phoenix, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, CL, The Temper Trap, Purity Ring, Flight Facilities, Jessie Ware and many more.

It also highlighted Indonesia’s top music acts such as Potret, NAIF, Scaller, Barasuara , Sheila on 7 , Raisa, The Trees and the Wild, Ramengvrl, Elephant Kind, and Stars & Rabbit to name a few.

Previous installments of We The Fest concerts have brought different K-Pop artists to Indonesia, such as Eric Nam (2018), Epik High (2017) and CL (2016).

More than 60,000 attendees from around the world took part in last year’s activities. 2018 also saw the launched of a special area for spectators in wheelchairs, to give a more inclusive festival setting.

Breaking a new ground in the Southeast Asian festival scene, We The Fest is described by Vice as “a classy festival” for being well-organized and its friendly vibe.
