Taeyeon Tops South Korean Music Charts With “A Poem Titled ‘You'” OST For “Hotel Del Luna”

Taeyeon’s alluring vocals continue to charm listeners, and her flight to the top of the charts is all the proof you need.

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon charms viewers and SONEs alike as she soars to the top of the charts with her newest release, “A Poem Titled ‘You'”.

Upon its release, “A Poem Titled ‘You'” topped major South Korean music charts: namely MelOn, Genie, Naver Music, Bugs, and Ole Music. The track boasts a subtle piano melody and cheerful emotions, produced by minGtion.

This is the second time that the songstress has reigned over the music charts this year. Her most recent comeback, “Four Seasons”, topped major music charts days after its initial release on March 24.

The piano-backed ballad is one of the tracks in Hotel Del Luna‘s soundtrack, featured in the K-Drama’s first episode. Viewers can look forward to more tracks by Heize, Punch, and 10cm in the episodes to come.

Hotel Del Luna follows the story of a hotel on the brink of bankruptcy. Its owner Jang Man Wol (IU) teams up with hotelier Gu Chan Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) to revive its grandeur. But the catch is how to make the hotel appealing to its spooky clientele targeting – wayfaring ghosts.

The K-Drama enjoyed quite a successful premiere on July 13. It registered 7.3% nationwide and 7.7% Seoul viewership rating based on the tally from Nielsen Korea.
